Relationship between Project Managers Personality and Small Public Construction Project Success in Malaysia

In the field of project management, particularly construction industry in Malaysia, there are two key factors determining progress a project, namely technical and non-technical skills. Accordingly, this study aims to explore personality (non-technical skills) among Malaysian managers on success small public projects. Using Five Factor Theory (FFT) as basis, uses sets measuring instruments for examining manager’s success, Big Inventory (BFI) Project Success Achieved (PSA). The questionnaire was distributed major organizations Implementation Coordination Unit, Prime Minister’s Department (ICU JPM) Ministry Rural Development (KPLB), which involved 137 managers. obtained data were analyzed using PLS-SEM results indicate that has significant impact SPCP where Conscientiousness (CT) Agreeableness (AG) had more prominent influence compared other traits. This provides theoretically meaningful relationships valuable insights into management via element ensure national development objectives achieved.
